The 2016 Volkswagen Jetta offers a number of different powertrain options. The new 1.4-liter TSI base engine makes 150 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, which is a big step up from the previous generation Jetta. The turbo 1.4-liter Jetta is lively and responsive. The impressive standard 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine gets up to 38 highway mpg* while the 3.6-liter V6 makes 280 horsepower and delivers striking acceleration and torque. The same 2.0-liter turbodiesel 4-cylinder available in the Jetta is also an option for the Passat. It provides 150 horsepower, 236 lb-ft of torque and upwards of 44 highway mpg for each model*. The larger Passat is still just as fun to drive as the Jetta and offers smooth performance, roominess and formal styling. The responsive steering and handling effectively complements the acceleration and power.

The Jetta has refined and compact architecture make it one of the most attractive and sporty sedans in its class.
